It was an early 6:00am start to the day, meeting up with the crew at 679 Beach Blvd for our Offshore Trip out in The Gulf of America. The forecast called for ckear skies, and calm seas - perfect conditions for our offshore fishing adventure. February can be a bit hit or miss in these waters, but we were eager to get out there and see what we could find.As we headed out, the seas were pleasantly mild, making for a smooth ride. We knew there was a chance at some big game like Tuna or Swordfish, so we started working the offshore waters, trolling with heavy tackle while looking for birds. We chanced some schools of topwater tuna casting jigs and poppers at them. The bite was a little finicky. We hooked and fought a huge jack cravelle that we released. Then the fish would not stay around long and we just couldn't seem to get the Tuna to commit. But that's the thing about fishing the open Gulf - you've got to be ready to adapt and try new tactics. So that's exactly what we did.We switched gears and decided to focus our efforts on finding a Swordfish. After a bit of searching, we found what we were looking for in about 1,700 feet of water. The fight was on, and this Swordfish put up one heck of a battle. It dove hard, making multiple strong runs and testing our drag, but the crew stayed focused and patient. After nearly an hour of back-and-forth, we finally got the fish up to about 85 feet - just when it decided to dive all the way back down to 580 feet! But we kept the pressure on, and after another long fight, we finally got this Swordfish in the boat. It deffinitly fought above its size. Still though, a swordfish of any size is something to be proud if. What a catch!The ride back was a bit choppier, but we made it safely to Biloxi with our prized Swordfish and some great memories. I had a great time guiding the recent offshore fishing trip for Aquiline Custom Charters at 679 Beach Blvd. Our customer, Connor Landwehr, was part of the Keesler MWR registered group and was eager to try some deep sea fishing.

The weather was perfect - calm seas and clear skies made for an ideal day on the water. We utilized a variety of techniques, including DeepSea, Jigging, Trolling, Heavy Tackle, and Light Tackle, which allowed us to target a range of species. The highlight was definitely the Swordfish we were able to land! It put up an incredible fight and was an awesome addition to our catch.

In addition to the Swordfish, we also brought in some nice Mahi-mahi, Bonita, and Tuna. The guests were thrilled with the variety and quantity of fish we were able to find. Watching them reel in these powerful, open-water gamefish was truly exciting. Everyone had a blast and left with great stories and memories from the trip.

What a great day we had out on the water with Connor and the crew from Keesler MWR! The conditions were absolutely perfect for our offshore fishing adventure. 
We started the day Trolling and Jigging in some deeper waters, and quickly started catching a nice variety of fish. The Sailfish put up some great fights on our Heavy Tackle and really got the adrenaline pumping. Throughout the day, we also mixed in some Light Tackle Drifting which allowed us to land even more species. It was nonstop action the entire trip!
The guests were all smiles as they reeled in fish after fish. We had a blast capturing the highlights on camera too - the photos and videos are going to make for some awesome keepsakes from the day. Everyone left with full coolers and memories that will last a lifetime.
